Local developer Hunters Capital is celebrating the grand opening of the Capitol Hilltop Apartments (555 15th Ave East) with a mural designed by Shepard Fairey on its south-facing wall.
Replacing the old Hilltop service station, this building houses 68 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments (including 14 affordable units) and four commercial spaces, one of which will be home to Rudy’s Barber Shop, which will migrate across the street, and Rufous and Co., a brand new furnishings boutique and design studio.
The new construction brings a modern feel to the northern end of the 15th Ave East business district, referencing historical Capitol Hill Auto Row architecture to maintain a sense of community identity.
Stop by an open house for tenants and neighbors on Wednesday, August 21 from 3-5pm to celebrate!
To catch a glimpse of the mural, head across the street to the southwest corner of the Walgreens parking lot (15th Ave East and East Republican St).
